Grégoire has travelled around the world. More than once, when exploring deep into the countryside, he found himself in isolated, precarious situations, needing to keep his valuables dry and close by. With no existing solutions on the market, Grégoire took advantage of his wife’s move to Malaysia for a few months in late 2015 to take the plunge and begin his Helixot dream: to build a completely waterproof backpack. An engineer with a technical background, he developed and created this new product himself. During his 4-month stay in Malaysia, he collaborated with entrepreneurs to elaborate the first prototype of the XO 6.2 bag. Once back in France, he connected with French partners to set up its production, entirely French-made.
Passionate about digital and leading Marketing and IT teams to ensure the success of digital transformation projects, Marion is working now in Malaysia as a freelance digital consultant after 11 years at different operational & top management levels, she met Gregoire in Malaysia and joined a few month later she joined Helixot adventure (Greg’s ears still remember how excited she was even it was through skype).
She is looking forward to snorkeling and sailing with her XO6.2 in Malaysian islands!
Originally from Reims, Mathieu Linotte left the Champagne region to go to the École des Arts-Décoratifs in Strasbourg, majoring in graphic communication, and received his diploma in 1997.
Mathieu is passionate about all forms of graphical imagery, whether through drawing, photography, illustration… Mathieu quickly saw graphic design as an ideal job, enabling him to bring together his passion for all of these different visual arts.
As a graphic designer and artistic director in Strasbourg and then in Lyon, Mathieu first worked in an agency setting before becoming self-employed in a wide range of sectors (publishing, urban magazines, cultural and institutional communication, visual identities) and always yearning for new adventures though which to meet new people and creative projects…

Grégoire is an explorer who’s passionate about travels and water sports. More than once he found himself in situations where he needed to keep his personal belongings safe and dry. With no existing solutions on the market and a background in engineering, he decided, while living in Malaysia with his wife, to design a 100% waterproof backpack and create the Helixot brand. He spent his 4 months in Malaysia working alongside entrepreneurs to complete the prototype production of the XO 6.2 Backpack. Upon his return back in France, he identified suppliers to manufacture the XO 6.2 Backpack with a ‘Made in France’ label.
Passionate about digital, Marion has a background in business studies and worked as a Chief Digital Officer for a French SME. Her need of adventure brings her to Malaysia where she decides to move and become a Digital Strategy Consultant. After meeting Grégoire she decides to join the Helixot team. She cannot wait to discover the Malaysian sea floor and coastline with her XO 6.2 Backpack
